While working through obstacles Aaron never lost focus on controlling his own destiny.   Aaron strongly believes that organized sports provide solutions to many problems that plague the youth of today.  It is important to teach children about their bodies and how to properly take care of themselves.  In a nation where almost 20% of children are overweight or obese it is important to keep active.  Group sports where children can learn techniques such as teamwork and team camaraderie which helps them become more physically active and socially inept adults.  The Aaron Brooks Basketball Camps allow children 3rd to 12th grade build the proper foundation to ensure they remain active and learn team building skills which will help them no matter what path they choose to follow.  These workshops teach children how to work together as a team while building positive perspectives on what could be reality with the right work ethic. Aaron started this organization in hopes of showing children that anything is possible with true determination.

Drills and Skills works collaboratively with local middle schools to develop a comprehensive youth development strategy for underserved, school aged youth in the Seattle School District.  Drills and Skills is a comprehensive youth development strategy which seeks to address the needs of at-risk middle and high school aged youth. The program has served thousands of at-risk youth over the past 18 years.
